Questions about robotic sludge removal
Which environments can robotic sludge removal handle?
Storage tanks, lagoons, wastewater pits, cooling basins and more. The units enter through standard manholes or access openings, so no dismantling is needed.
Can it be done while tanks are in service?
Often, yes. Process tanks and ponds can frequently be cleaned while they stay online.
How is sludge reprocessed, and is oil recovered?
High-pressure jetting and suction remove the sludge. Centrifugation or thermal extraction then separates hydrocarbons from water and solids, recovering oil and reducing waste volume.
Does anyone need to enter the tank?
No. The systems are fully remote-controlled from a safe zone.
